Athena is from Clayborn in Colorado, from the Firecracker Litter. This has been a very successful litter with 3 grand champions, an altered champion and a field champion.

Athena is a high energy dog with great toy and food drive. Her amazing work ethic is something I cherish very much and wish to breed for in the future.

We have dabbled in a little bit of everything. Athena has been in training for flyball, agility, barn hunt, nosework and rally. While we would love to pursue all of this, realistically time is a constraint. She loves flyball and agility!

In November 2017, she made her debut in LGRA, tying for third place in a breed entry of 13. This earned her her first few points towards her GRC. Her third meet was at Purina Farms during our National Specialty. She placed 9th out of 29 starter dogs.

We recently tried ASFA again, after a long break from running alone in Singles, and she surprised me by taking 1st in Open Silkens.

As of the end of 2020, she is half way to her GRC and a third to her FCh.

Athena earned her UKC Championship in one weekend at 8 months old with three Best of Winners.

She has gone on to achieve her Grand, earning a couple Best of Breed wins as well as a Group 1 and Group 2. On the quest to get her final competition win, she went reserve a handful of times including twice in a very competitive class of 9.

At Silkenfest 2016 in Texas, she took 2nd in 12-18 month Bitches, losing out to a lovely Deuce daughter from Gryffyn. SF 2018 was a repeat with another 2nd place, only this time in the Open class and up against a lot more entries.

She was awarded 1st in her class and Reserve Winner's Bitch at our fall 2018 regional ISWS specialty.

Athena was awarded 3rd place in a nice Brood Bitch class at Silkenfest 2022, represented by her daughter Yen from her first litter and her son Pogo from her second litter.
